Ciao, my name is Giuseppe Romano, but you can call me Pep.
Pep is a personal short form of Peppe, which is already a short form of Giuseppe. I like when people call me Pep because the simplicity this name communicates immediacy and efficiency, which is the way I like to work.
Since I was a child, I loved the way directors filmed tv commercials, adding in them humour and creativity pushing boundaries in the audio-visual communication. By the way I grow up cultivating the passion for creativity drawing my favourite cartoons, drawing caricatures of my angry parents and drawing stickmen fighting on my school diary, using it like a sort of page flipping animation.
That creativity guided me through different creative softwares like iMovie and Magix Music Maker, passing through Garageband, Final Cut and Apple Motion until I discovered After Effects in 2014.
Initially I used that software to create memes but I felt a great potential in that software. Watching many tutorials on youtube, I realized I could do a lot of thing with After Effects.
Taken by an unconscious arrogance, I dived into the industry with disastrous results. So, between 2017 and 2018, I attended various courses, especially at School of Design and School of Motion.
Since 2018 I work as freelance Motion Designer based in Naples (Italy), I help companies to enhance themselves by creating distinctive design and animations.

I’ve been fortunate to work on a wide range of projects for several companies, agencies and studios, and I'm always happy to accept new challenges.

Animation is my speciality (After Effects), but I'm very experienced with Storytelling, Design and Video Editing.
